7:30–9:00pm EST
4:30–6:00pm PST
Format: Online Workshop
In this 90-minute live session, we introduce the TICK framework from the ground up. You'll learn what TICK is, what it isn't, and why it exists as a distinct framework alongside and beyond SSC, RACK, and PRICK.
We'll examine the origins, core principles, the theoretical foundations, and what it actually means to hold the complexity of consent, both its binaries and its nuance, through a trauma-informed lens.
TICK sits at the crossroads. The meeting point of consent, safety, pleasure, and trauma. This session begins the work of understanding what that means and what it asks of you.
This is not a how-to, nor is this workshop a substitute for therapy. It is an introduction to a framework that names stigma, holds complexity, and invites us to examine the politics of trauma-informed approaches to kink and BDSM.
Who This Is For
Anyone ready to move beyond surface-level pleasure based consent conversations. Practitioners, educators, community members, and curious newcomers with no prior experience with TICK required. Prior familiarity with BDSM/kink concepts is helpful but not required.
What You'll Leave With
A clear understanding of the TICK framework and its core principles. Working knowledge of how TICK differs from SSC, RACK, and PRICK. A foundation for applying a trauma-informed lens to your own practice, dynamics, or clinical work. A starting point for the understanding how and why TICK is necessary.
